Dave Rayner funded pair Jamie Alberts and Yanto Barker made it a one-two for Cycle Club Etupes in the 140-kilometre Grand Prix des Carreleurs in the Alsace region of France on Saturday.
A 10-man breakaway group contained Alberts, Barker and two other members of the Etupes team.
Alberts attacked with six kilometres remaining, opening up a lead of between 15 and 20 seconds and staying clear to the finish.
Barker won a sprint for second place from the other eight breakaways.
"They almost caught me on the line, but I just managed to stay away," said Alberts on Monday.
Barker claimed ninth place in Sunday's Troyes-Dijon rac

7  Mar 2003

Fund rider David Clarke (Team Bradgate) has made a winning debut for Spain's Club Ciclista Ponteareas. Clarke rode to victory in a hilly 120-kilometre event after missing an early break that left him in the third group on the road. To add to his troubles, Clarke punctured but, thanks to help from his team-mates, he rejoined the second bunch on the road and, when the next climb came up, Clarke bridged the gap to the next group of 39 riders. Clarke broke clear to catch the three race leaders as he came onto the finishing circuit which had a one-in-eight climb. On a dangerous descent approaching the finish, two members of the break crashed leaving Clarke with just one opponent.

Clarke, 23, from Church Gresley, Derbyshire, a former Junior Tour of Wales winner, jumped away to finish alone and win by 10 metres.
